You have a magnitude of options such as natural quartzite, engineered stone, natural stones such as granite and quartzite. What are the differences? How can you tell one material from the next? Here is an effortless way to differentiate oracle from stones and other solid surface materials.

What is Oracle?

Oracle surface is a new engineered stone is content crystalline silica quartz less than 35%, Tested by US Custom lab and 100% no anti-dumping approved by CBP. Click here to check the test report and classification.

It is important that we differentiate natural stone versus manufactured stone. Natural stones such as granites or marbles come from the Earth and occur in nature. On the other hand, engineered oracle quartz is an engineered product that is manufactured and does not occur in nature. Although the word quartz refers to a natural mineral, this does not mean it is a natural stone. Instead, engineered oracle quartz is composed of quartz particles that are bonded together with resin, pigments, and other ingredients to create the manufactured stone that is oracle quartz.

Manufacturing Oracle Quartz

Engineered Oracle Quartz goes through a 5-step process. These steps include the mining of raw quartz where the mineral is extracted, crushed, and sorted. Crushed quartz, Crushed dolomite, polyester resin, and other ingredients are combined & mixed. After the ingredients are combined, they are poured into a slab shaped mold where it is subjected to vacuum, vibration, and pressure. The slab is then subjected to intense pressure and heat. After this has been completed the slabs are cured in a kiln and then cooled and polished. Because the quartz is mixed with the resin, engineered oracle quartz has low porosity.

Oracle Quartz is best suited in multifamily environments because it is an exceptionally durable stone and has comparable properties as granite.
